Training Modes

Clinton Institute offers flexible delivery options to suit different learner needs:

  • Classroom-based delivery — face-to-face training at our Melbourne and Hobart campuses
  • Simulated practical training — real-world scenarios in a supported learning environment
  • Blended learning — combination of online and in-person delivery

Assessment Modes

Clinton Institute uses a diverse range of assessment methods to ensure students demonstrate competency across business contexts. Assessment instruments include analytical written reports on business challenges and opportunities, case study analysis requiring application of business theory to realistic scenarios, group presentations on marketing strategies and operational improvements, development of comprehensive marketing plans for nominated business contexts, financial document review and interpretation tasks, and practical workplace projects where students apply business skills in their own employment or volunteer settings. Each assessment is designed to replicate real business environments and is aligned with the specific units of competency undertaken.

Compulsory Work Placement Arrangements

Students are required to complete practical workplace projects as part of their course to gain real-world business experience. While a formal work placement host is not required for all students, Clinton Institute strongly encourages students who are not currently employed in a business environment to arrange a practical placement with an approved business host organisation. The workplace project component is designed to give students the opportunity to apply business theory in a real operational context — developing reports, analysing business performance, preparing marketing materials, or supporting operational planning for their host organisation. Students maintain a reflective journal throughout their placement, documenting their activities, observations, and learning outcomes. The Trainer Assessor may conduct a site visit or telephone consultation with the workplace supervisor to verify the authenticity of the placement and assess the student's application of business skills.
